We waited an hour for our food. Nobody apologised. The proprietor explained, without apologising, that everything is made fresh. Far be it from me to teach my grandmother how to suck eggs, but since this particular grandmother is struggling, I suggest that since your "make fresh" policy is causing hour-long waits for basic food, then my grandmother may need to consider getting up earlier in the morning and doing some prep. Veggie sausage roll was ok, but they charged an extra $5 for a really basic tiny salad to go with it. My partner had cevapci, which allegedly is made according to an old family recipe, but in reality was unseasoned and dry, and served with minute portions of onion and tzatziki. You would think onion is a precious resource to see the paltry size of the serving. Long black not long enough.
Nice place and friendly staff. They have delicious Aussie food. And they're open on Mondays! They saved our lives one day coming back from the Yarra Valley on Monday when everything was shut. :)

Visited Hurstbridge by train and walked around the old village. Very nice. Needed a toilet so asked here and they could help so stopped for lunch. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Fast efficient and friendly service. Could have done without the yapping dogs in the place next door though.
